Performance Test Lead

Key Skills & Experience
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Performance Engineering and Benchmarking Large Scale systems and applications with skilled in modelling the system under load and tuning end of the technology stack
Experience in working with different protocols using performance test tools like JMeter, Loadrunner and SilkPerformer.
Knowledge of API /web services testing tools, such as Postman, SoapUl.
Good working experience in monitoring tools (Logic Monitor/App Dynamics)
Experience in analysing Thread dumps and Memory dumps for bottlenecks
Key Accountabilities:
- Adhere to standards and best practices throughout the testing phases of the software development lifecycle and any testing stages of any development project
- Experienced in pinpointing performance issues in live systems.
- Strong understanding of performance testing E2E (Workload modeling/Execution/Report analysis/Recommendations for improvement)
- Experience in identifying test conditions and scenarios from design documents and writing scripts to test the scenarios
- Hands-on experience in performance problem determination and root cause analysis.
- Develop Performance Test Plan
- Design Performance test scripts at application level
- Execute and report Performance tests at different levels – identify and analyze bottlenecks by profiling and provide performance tuning recommendations.
- Evaluate Performance tools and optimize them based on the use case
- Research and develop tools and frameworks to evaluate the performance of the applications
- Working with Product Owner and Business Analyst to refine and estimate requirements
- To examine business requirements
- To assess the service level agreement and their objectives
- To create, upgrade and maintain the performance test scripts in line with business requirements.
- To document suitable test data that is representative of customer business practices.
- To carry out performance tests and apply consistent monitoring metrics
- Agree on all estimates and time schedules for the work allocated, with the Test Lead and communicate progress and changes promptly.
- To effectively escalate important issues affecting the testing process by reporting exceptions to the Test Lead.
