Business Analyst II

Leela Consultancy Limited is an East London-based Consultancy firm providing IT expertise and services as part of the Software as a Service (SaaS) working model. We aim to provide affordable and efficient software expertise to individuals, start-ups, small businesses and bigger firms. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business, ensuring that projects are aligned with organisational goals. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of business processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Writing User Stories: Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into clear and detailed user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitating Workshops: Lead and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to define project scope, and objectives, and gather feedback.
  • Backlog Refinement: Collaborate with Product Owners and development teams to refine the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with business objectives.
  • Business Process Documentation: Document and map out business processes, workflows, and system configurations to support product development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
  • UAT Coordination: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the product meets business requirements and is ready for deployment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and QA, to ensure efficient project delivery.

  • Qualification:

    • Proven experience in a Business Analyst role, with a focus on gathering and documenting business requirements.
    • Expertise in creating detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
    • Experience in backlog refinement, project scope definition, and managing cross-functional teams.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and tools like Jira, Azure, Confluence, and Trello.
    • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field is preferred, or a solid technical background with understanding of IT systems.
    • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder meetings to drive continuous improvement.
    • Experience leading UAT and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

      • Time Management: Strong ability to manage time and deadlines effectively, especially when working on multiple projects simultaneously.
